Carl Grapentine is known to Detroit’s long-time classical listeners as the morning host on WQRS in the 1970s and 80s, where he worked with Dave Wagner and Jack Goggin. He then enjoyed 33 more years at WFMT, Chicago’s classical radio station, before retiring and relocating to Michigan.

You can hear Carl on football Saturdays in Ann Arbor where he is the PA voice of Michigan Stadium. Carl is happy to fill in for any of WRCJ’s regular announcers for a few days “…until I remember that I like being retired!” And we are happy to have him available.
