Hometown Holiday Concert by Ferndale Community Concert Band

Come celebrate with the Ferndale Community Concert Band for our “Hometown Holiday Concert.” Our annual holiday concert features traditional and popular music to help get you in the holiday spirit. Highlights include “Prelude and Fugue in D Minor” by J.S. Bach; “Adoration” by Florence B. Price who is noted as the first African-American woman composer to have a composition played by a major symphony orchestra. Also on the program is “A Hanukkah Festival” which is an arrangement of traditional Hanukkah music. The “Christmas March” is a classic band arrangement of Christmas songs by Edwin Franko Goldman; and we will all sing along to the traditional “Auld Lang Syne.” This arrangement was made for Mannheim Steamroller.

Baked goods and Holiday goodies will be available for purchase, and the M-1 Jazz Collective will start the concert at 3:00 PM. We hope to see you there.
