The Joy of Jazz Singing

The Michigan Jazz Festival offers educational opportunities throughout the year virtually and onsite. Our first event this year is a free online Zoom clinic on Saturday February 22, 2025 at 3:30 pm: Sunny Wilkinson ‘Energy, Space, and Time-The Joy of Jazz Singing. Sunny is a renowned jazz singer and educator who, along with her husband, pianist Ron Newman, will do live performance and discussion. Tune in to experience the magic that Sunny and Ron bring to their music and get inspired to create some of your own! Sunny will sing tunes, demonstrate techniques and offer ideas for honing your craft and elevating your jazz singing. Bring your questions and ideas and get ready for a great afternoon of vocal jazz.
