Broadcast of Detroit Opera’s Rinaldo

Coming to the 90.9 WRCJ airwaves this Saturday, February 22 at 7 p.m. it’s our live broadcast of Detroit Opera’s production Rinaldo! Handel’s Baroque blockbuster is viewed through the lens of a child’s fantasy in a contemporary pediatric ward. The young patients venture on a heroic journey, where knights, sorcerers, monsters, and magic are used as a salve for unimaginable challenges. Featuring a stellar cast with Countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo in the title role and hosted for 90.9 WRCJ by Dave Wagner. Our preshow begins at 7 p.m. and stay tuned during intermission as 90.9’s Haley Taylor will speak with Detroit Opera Conductor Roberto Kalb and Rinaldo’s Director Louisa Proske. Detroit Opera will also have a performance of Rinaldo on Friday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday March 2 at 2:30 p.m. Read all about the production HERE
