Mark Anthony

April 1, 202522:18:02

Christa will need some WRCJ peppermint gum and the squeeze note although I believe the 1/8 note may not suffice Carl I know she has her seat belt on right now during this lively and most vigorous portrayal of music today I am totally Reinvigorated indeed! 😀 😄 😉 👍

I have only made my second pledge so far this campaign being no.2 and I am already looking forward to the next fall campaign but let us not rush this summer first. As a lover of cigars John the invitation is always open to join me as we indulge in one together and by the way this invitation is extended to the entire WRCJ TEAM at 90.9. I will say I have quite enough here to suit any one’s particular palate tastes and I am always adding new additions to my cigar collection! 😀

So lucky to have dodged a bullet here last night here in my portion of Howell, Michigan so many others not so fortunate across our state unfortunately it was highly fierce here for minutes on end only then subsiding in my prayers for all out there 🙏 affected!

WorkerB

April 1, 202500:39:47

Of course Peter the night 🌕 of 14 – 15 April 1912 will live in infamy within our minds of The White Star Lines tragedy maiden voyage of the heraldic emphasized Titanic of unsinkable proportions unfortunately indeed!

Mark

March 26, 202518:57:45

Orchestral composition can be exhilarating or sincere if we only allow ourselves any foreboding prior too!

Mark

March 26, 202518:23:43

Superior cold opening Mr. Whorf as I never purview the program musical schedule ever it allows one’s journey to enter uninhibited into the realms of the unknown of the notes 🎶 to the ear!

Mark

March 25, 202520:53:11

Mr. engineer Scott for the time being the intervals of moments/sounds of silence no not Simon & Garfunkel though a great song have subsided this could be due to atmospheric conditions and winds disrupting my fm signal here at home in Howell I will have to check whether or not my electricity bill is payed?

Mark

March 25, 202519:39:40

Spring has sprung this afternoon on the drivetime elixir very soothing melodies indeed Peter! 🙂

Mark

March 24, 202519:48:44

Mark

March 4, 202521:35:29

I so love this Scottish rendition Peter should I dare say English at behest of the Queen I dare not say William Wallace 🗡

March 4, 202521:17:09

Bravo Peter a most exclusively subtle but always exhilarating drive time elixir indeed sir of total relaxation!

Mark

March 3, 202521:04:38

I must say that early film scores have always have a passion of mine across the board and nobody brings them to the forefront as WRCJ 90.9 does thanks one and all from behind the glass!

Mark

March 3, 202519:55:42

I most enjoy the German heritage ansombles of orchestral longs & shorts that you provide Peter being German myself after my father Don and his father William Englebert Egerer thank you! 😊

Mark

March 3, 202519:14:29

Good afternoon to you Mr. Whorf I must say I am warming up to your Mixer of the Elixir formulas since previously being passed off to you by none other than the Mr. Dave Wagner and my personal drive time elixir fix thank you Peter and yes Dave I am getting the worm 🪱 with your early bird schedule!

Mark

February 18, 202521:01:58

Most appreciate The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Peter keep it coming to infinity & beyond!

Mark

February 17, 202519:49:57

Change is inevitable sometimes we greet it with relief other times we are reluctant to accept it I must say Mr. Whorf I was skeptical in the beginning to the Drive Time Elixir changing of the guard if you will from Dave Wagner to Peter Whorf but all things in due time alas I must say you are melding nicely into Mixer of the Elixir and coming up with added additions of your own recipes in the mix what would Peter like me to BYOB to your party so far I have Brahms for Dave & Bach for Haley?

Marie-Paule Parcells

December 18, 202420:53:33

Please, please, before you start talking about the piece you just played could you make sure to announce the orchestra, conductor and soloist if there is one.

Linda C Williams

October 1, 202422:57:08

I’m especially loving the program today. The music from Yental, the orchestral virgin of Light My Fire, Melodie and I Loved You Once In Silence are all favorites of mine.

WorkerB

October 2, 202407:15:13

Wow, it’s all Linda favorites, nice!

Carol

August 30, 202420:01:36

FYI – Madeline Kahn did not play Frau Bleucher in Young Frankenstein. Cloris Leachman played that part. Thank you for playing the Transylvanian Lullaby. Made me smile.

WorkerB

August 30, 202420:57:58

You’re welcome Carol, glad it made you smile.

Candace MacGillivery

August 30, 202419:48:38

Dave, Cloris Lechman was Frau Bloucher in this pic. Madelyn Khan was Gene Wilder’s fiance!!

WorkerB

August 30, 202420:57:19

Oops, sorry Candace!

WorkerB

November 1, 202321:28:20

A driveway moment, yay! It’s nice to hear you enjoyed that version.

Michael Hyde

October 31, 202317:11:48

Hello! May I please have the playlist information for the solo piano piece played near the end of Drive-Time Elixir on yesterday, Monday Oct 30? It may have been the second-to-last selection. I recall the announcer saying that it was also a beautiful song with lyrics (that they were singing to themselves as it aired!) My guess it was Davis Gloff hosting. Thank you. And best of luck in getting the playlists back up — they are wonderful to have.

WorkerB

November 1, 202301:06:17

Hi Michael, the last three pieces we played were a suite from Miklos Rosza’s Spellbound, Lost in the Stars by Kurt Weill an Witches of Eastwick: Devil’s Dance by John Williams.

Richard Sheffield

October 19, 202322:26:04

I just realized I was in banking with Christa’s dad, Hal, 40+ years ago. She would play at the branch during Christmas.

WorkerB

October 20, 202320:22:23

Oh really? How cool, we will mention that to her.

William Sturm

August 24, 202322:44:15

Fantasy for Harp and Orchestra
Dubois, Theodore

Where DO you find this stuff?

WorkerB

August 24, 202322:49:02

Thanks Bill. We travel the Earth in search of great music! Well, ok maybe it’s not that dramatic.

Susan Wood

August 21, 202319:05:44

Could I get some information on the recording you just played (Mon. Aug. 21, about 2:40) of Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini? Conductor, pianist, recording?

WorkerB

August 22, 202316:23:49

Hi Susan, yes that recording featured the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Earl Wild on piano conducted by Jascha Horenstein. It’s from a Chandos disc called “Rachmaninov – The Complete Piano Works” spine number 7114.

William Sturm

July 24, 202323:23:00

Hi Dr. Dave, I have noticed and very much appreciate that you are playing more Baroque and Chamber music this summer. Please continue and keep up the excellent work!

WorkerB

July 25, 202300:42:26

Judy Bleier Marx

April 17, 202320:39:57

WorkerB

April 18, 202303:46:54

Hi Judy, we will reveal the top composers at the end of our Spring Fundraiser. Votes are still coming in!

Joseph K. Anderson

April 17, 202319:13:34

Hello, Im a sustaining member already but want to put my votes in for: Copland, Wagner, and John Williams. I know he may not be considered a “true” classical composer, but he’s still pretty darn good! thanks for all you do.

WorkerB

April 18, 202303:48:39

Thank you Joseph, we’ll add these to our tally!

Joy Burnett

February 24, 202322:20:58
